L'Etoile Sportive du Sahel se déplace au Soudan pour disputer un match comptant pour la 4e journée du groupe "B" de la Ligue des champions de la CAF, le samedi 11 décembre (20h ) contre Al Hilal Oumdurman

Un match « presque » décisif

Al Hilal – Etoile du Sahel aurait pu être un match pour confirmer son leadership pour le club tunisien . Au lieu de ça, c’est un véritable « match de la peur » entre les deux équipes. Si Al Hilal gagne sur la pelouse du stade Al Jawhara Azzarka, il passera même devant son adversaire !

La fameuse formule « match à 6 points » vaut plus que jamais pour cette rencontre. Une défaite de l’équipe du Sahel, couplée à une victoire d’Al Ahly face au FC Platinium, a transformé ce match en une rencontre ultra-capitale pour l’ESS. L’équipe de Juan Carlos Garrido est dans l’obligation de réaliser un bon résultat, pour éviter de disputer une finale face à l’équipe égyptienne, au Caire, à la prochaine journée

Revenus au même niveau de leur hôte, après leur victoire à Rades (0-1), les Soudanais peuvent tout simplement repasser à la première place en cas de succès ! Depuis le début de l’année civile, les coéquipiers de Mohamed Amine Ben Amor restent sur 4 matchs sans victoire (3 défaites et un match nul), et tout le monde doit être pour ce combat au Soudan.

Chikhaoui et Jemal forfaits, trois cadres de retour

Pour ce match capital, le technicien ibérique, Garrido pourra à nouveau compter sur trois de ses plus importants joueurs. Malek Baâyou, Mohamed Methnani et Saddam Ben Aziza, ont tous récupéré de leurs blessures et peuvent postuler à des places de titulaire dans le onze de départ. Le capitaine Yacine Chikhaoui manquera à l’appel, une absence de taille pour les étoilistes, tant Chikhaoui a porté sur ces épaules son équipe sur les dernières semaines, en plus de celle d’Amar Jemal, le défenseur expérimenté des rouges.

Selon nos informations, la nouvelle recrue ivoirienne Souleyman Coulibaly devrait être qualifiée pour cette rencontre.
