Devant la crise financière mondiale, le président de la Confédération sud-américaine du Football, Alejandro Dominguez, a demandé à la FIFA une réunion pour étudier la création d'un fonds global d'aide aux Fédérations,

Les Fédérations de football à sec …

Affectées par la pandémie de coronavirus, le président de la Conmebol a demandé à la FIFA une réunion immédiate pour étudier la création d’un fonds global d’aide à toutes les Fédérations de football « L’idée est de créer des solutions opportunes et immédiatement disponibles pour les Fédérations membres, pour être approuvées sans plus de délai ».

De son coté, le président de la Confédération Africaine de Football, Ahmed Ahmed, a considéré que la CAF saura s’adapter en fonction de la crise sanitaire, mais aucune décision d’aide financière aux fédérations africaines n’a été prise jusqu’à maintenant.
