Alors que le mercato de la Ligue professionnelle saoudienne a fermé le dimanche 25 octobre 2020, les deux attaquants de l'Espérance de Tunis, annoncés partants depuis quelques semaines, restent finalement dans l'effectif de Mouine Chaâbani...
L’attaquant international tunisien Taha Yassin Khenissi (28 ans), annoncé un temps à Abha SC (l’équipe de Saâd Bguir entraînée par le technicien tunisien Abderrazek Chebbi) mais aussi chez le club promu Al Ain (l’équipe de Haithem Jouini, l’ex attaquant sang et or), n’ira finalement pas en MBS League… Son transfert n’a pas abouti pour des raisons que nous ignorons toujours (certains avancent les conditions financières fixées par le président Hamdi Meddeb pour libérer son attaquant) et ce malgré la volonté de l’Espérance de se débarrasser d’un joueur, qui lui reste un an de contrat (jusqu’en juin 2021) et qui pèse beaucoup sur la masse salariale du club (~ 1 million de dinars l’année)…
L’autre attaquant ivoirien Ibrahim Ouattara (30 ans), arrivé à l’Espérance en 2019 en provenance du CAB (lui aussi sous contrat jusqu’en juin 2021 avec l’EST) n’a jamais réussit à s’imposer avec l’équipe première. Le joueur était sur la short-liste de quelques clubs saoudiens durant ce mercato, mais n’a pas trouvé de preneurs. Son départ du parc semble tout de même inéluctable, et pourrait s’inscrire dans une opération d’échange de joueurs (Rached Arfaoui de l’AS Soliman ?)..
Les dirigeants espérantistes, qui voulaient absolument « vendre » ces deux attaquants, dans la perspective de recruter un « grand attaquant » étranger (et aussi pour faire de la place à Mohamed Ali Ben Hammouda en pointe) devraient revoir leur stratégie de recrutement …
Ces deux joueurs partiront-il au mercato d’hiver ? Hamdi Meddeb fera-t-il un dernier effort pour acheter le grand avant-centre tant attendu par les supporteurs ?
A quelques jours du coup d’envoi de la nouvelle saison de la LP1, beaucoup de questions restent encore sans réponses..
